Notta. Just some really hefty school bills, as he was attending college at the time, that were piling up as “debt”. One day someone told him he could make money on the Internet and they showed him proof that they were earning money. Guess who showed him this? Carson, whom 3 years later Kyle joined together and they created Wealthy Affiliate. This was his first “taste” of starting something on his own, so Kyle was not quite sure what sort of revenue to expect. The first month he worked his butt off, creating a website (which was an arduous task back then) and building some quality content. The first month he made a whopping $0. He worked hard with ZERO revenue. Did he give up? Absolutely not. Although he wasn’t financially successful, he had created a website. His very own website. That was a freakin’ accomplishment he thought! He had also learned how to write a page of content and get it published. These were both successes in his eyes. He was still in the process of learning and building a foundation for his business. Really, how could things be so bad, he was in the process of spending $10,000’s in school fees and several YEARS of schooling before he ever had the chance to make money. However, that's a different story for a different day (about colleges that charge outrageous fees, and give no job guarantees). So moving on, guess what he made the 2nd month? $0. Now most would ask, what the hell Kyle, why didn’t you quit? His reason: he had built a foundation for success and he knew from other “success stories” that the Internet had billions of people buying stuff online every day, that an online business was a reality. Just give it time and make it work! And hard work from the first two months PAID off. Early in month 3, he made his first SALE online. WOOHOO! And from there, things started to snowball. The work performed in the first two months started to pay dividends. Then by Month 6: he was making a consistent income, able to pay off all student debt. By Month 12: he was pretty much full time, earning enough to work full time, but was still scared of the idea of working from home. This fear quickly dissolved and a few months later he started to work from home full time. And here we are 11 YEARS Later: Kyle is still working from home and loving EVERY MINUTE of it! He says he would not trade this lifestyle for the world. BUT, none of this would have been possible had he quit - had he given up.
